It's all in the name: luxury and great service
The most striking thing is that we got a (double) upgrade to a room with a beautifull terrace and jacuzzi overviewing the Sassi. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre and located in a old palace. It has a nice terrace for dinner and drinks with beautiful view. The staff is amazing. The only thing is that the hotel is located in the centre of the historical and car-free area. We arrived by car and we had to park the car in a sister hotel and were neatly transported with a van from and to the hotel. Unfortunatey the GPS of the car brought us into the car-free zone of Matera :(
Perhaps better instructions how to get to the parking area of the sister hotel. For the rest great hotel and service.
